What is the day-by-day layout?

Edinburgh, April 30 - May 3

  • Day 1: Gather, Connect and Explore

We get to know each other in a relaxing setting and begin exploration. The foundations of our experiences are in our mind and body. The personal iceberg metaphor assists us in tuning in to the whole person. Stage One in SRI helps us connect to what's going on as well as find resources and increase congruence in the body. We check in with ourselves and begin to guide one another, using learned skills and finding resources of many kinds.

  • Day 2: Observing and Managing Reactions

Gather and start the day exploring congruence. Then learn to identify the different kinds of reactions under stress and how we can manage them as well as learn the positive aspects of these patterns. We can use the patterns congruently or reactively; knowing the difference is important. Learn how patterns of contrasts and differences show up in the body. Patterns of coping can help us hypothesize what are the best ways to make contact with our clients when they are under stress. SRI Stage Two helps us connect to opposing or differing parts, freeing up energy in the body system.

  • Day 3: Engaging with Change

Begin the day with embodied congruence and interaction. As facilitators of healing and change, we explore the rhythms of the change process and how to support our clients when they are feeling stuck, encountering uncertainty, or arriving at a new level of growth. Holding the space for the whole process affects us. Knowing what parts of the process you find easy to support and which ones are more challenging helps you create new ways to support yourself as your clients grow and heal. SRI Stage Three helps the brain and body recognize the energy of being stuck and find the choice point of peaceful acknowledgement or the powerful decision to move forward.

  • Day 4: Practice and Workshop, Reflect and Harvest

We begin this morning with another congruence practice to deepen our embodiment. Then integrate your learning into your own scope of practice in small group hands-on practice. Show yourself how creative, fun and integrative your practice can be! Experience, practice and observe- these three roles give you opportunities for maximum integration. Gather to reap the benefits of our time together and set new intentions for yourself going forward.
